‘DWTS’ Duo Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten Reveal Why He Calls Her ‘Babe’: ‘There’s a Level of Trust’
Fans were shook after former Bachelorette star Hannah Brown revealed that Alan Bersten‘s nickname for her is “babe.” The reality starlet admitted that her Dancing With the Stars partner actually calls her that “all the time,” but it’s not because there is a romance brewing between the two (sorry, fam). She dished about her cute nickname during an interview with Life & Style and other reporters after the dance competition show’s semifinals on November 18.
“We are, like, so close at this point. So he could — he could be like — say anything I would be like, ‘Whatever,'” the 25-year-old explained while standing with her partner, also 25. “Like, we’re just really at that point where we’ve spent every single day [together]. He’s had to become my best friend. It’s been great, right?” Alan sweetly agreed with the Alabama native.
Although “babe” usually has a romantic connotation to it, the dance duo acknowledged that their chemistry ends on the dance floor. “There’s a level of trust,” the dance pro noted about his special bond with the Bachelor Nation starlet. “That we definitely have,” Hannah said to back up Alan’s statement.
The two do seem to have one of the strongest connections of the season. It’s not surprising that they have worked hard to become so close, and Hannah exclusively divulged their secret to success to Life & Style. “I think it’s because we’re honest with each other,” the reality beauty explained at the DWTS Top 6 Finalist Party at Dominique Ansel on November 4. “If we don’t like something that one of us says, we just squash it right away. We just move forward. We have grown. I’ll be like, ‘I don’t like when you say that.’ He’s like, ‘OK, you gotta stop doing that.’ I’m like, all right.”
Alan even flew all the way to Alabama to meet Hannah’s family, which she confessed exclusively to Life & Style that it made her “kind of nervous.” She continued, “Not because of Alan or my family, but there’s always that pressure of, ‘Oh my God, am I gonna have to stay by Alan?'”
Luckily, there was nothing to be worried about and her crew welcomed the dancer with open arms. “I just think they love Alan because he’s been a part of this journey with me that they haven’t been a part of,” the former contestant from Colton Underwood‘s season added. “They’ve been loving and supporting from afar. So, they were just hamming it up and chatting with him!”
