Erin Andrews Slams Eagles Fans Who Booed Taylor Swift at Super Bowl: ‘Get Out of Here’

Erin Andrews slammed Philadelphia Eagles fans who booed Taylor Swift during Super Bowl LIX, which she attended to support boyfriend Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chief.

During the beginning of the game at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana, on February 9, Taylor, 35, was booed by several members of the crowd after she was one of the many celebrities in attendance that was shown on the jumbotron. After Taylor realized what was going on, she gave the camera the side eye before she moved her attention to her friends in the suite.

Two days after the Chiefs lost to the Eagles with a score of 40-22, Erin, 46, and Charissa Thompson defended Taylor during the Tuesday, February 11, episode of their “Calm Down With Erin and Charissa” podcast.

“I feel bad for the most famous, amazing woman in the world who f–king gets booed at the Super Bowl. Get out of here,” Erin said. “I love her. I love her.”

Charissa, 42, said she agreed with Erin, though she admitted she understood why some of the fans at the game might not have wanted to cheer for Taylor. “I love the [Eagles] fandom. Eagles are proud fans. They are gonna hate her on that day because you’re rooting for your team,” she said.

“Taylor, we all know Erin and I’s affinity for her. She handles everything so well,” Charissa continued. “And so does Travis. He handles this so well. They both handle [things] with so much grace.”

Erin has been an outspoken supporter of Taylor and Travis’ romance, and she previously encouraged the “Shake It Off” singer to give the tight end a chance after he revealed he tried to ask her out at her Eras tour in July 2023. The couple later confirmed their romance in September of that year, and Travis even acknowledged her and Charissa’s past attempt to help their relationship bloom in a social media post.

During an October 2023 episode of Late Night With Seth Meyers, Erin and Charissa explained why they encouraged Taylor to go out with Travis on their podcast before the couple publicly confirmed their romance. “Travis was very open about not getting to meet her,” Erin recalled of the story he shared on his “New Heights” podcast. “And so we were just being really candid because we love him. We’re good friends of his and we just were like, ‘Taylor, date this guy. I mean he’s good looking.’”

Erin added that Travis is “such a great, great guy,” so they wanted to throw “it out there and they got together.”

One month later, Erin told The Messenger that Travis was “having a real glow up” amid his romance with Taylor.

The NFL reporter then praised Taylor for introducing the sport to a whole new set of fans. “These two little girls saw her and they were jumping up and down and waving to her and she blew them a kiss,” she said at the time. “And I was like, ‘Come on!’ That’s so nice, you know? I’ve met Taylor once before and I was blown away with how sweet she was and just how great she is with her fans and how she is having fun with this. I think it’s so cool. I think it’s great for our sport.”
