Former ‘Bachelorette’ Ali Fedotowsky Defends Colton Underwood Amid Backlash: ‘Be Nice to the Poor Guy!’
Back away, haters! Former Bachelorette star Ali Fedotowsky wants to make it clear that she is team Colton Underwood. Even though not everyone is obsessed with the reality star, 27, the mom-of-two, 34, hopes that viewers are giving him a fair shot.
“A lot of people are kind of hating on Colton,” she exclusively spilled to Life & Style while promoting the dog food Kibbles ‘n Bits. “I feel bad for him. He’s a person, give him a break. It’s so crazy — you would never meet someone and say mean things to their face, right? So, you realize he sees these things and he is a human being with feelings. Be nice to the poor guy!”
To recap, when the former football player was announced as the Bachelor in September 2018, many fans were not happy about ABC’s pick. “If you ever wanted to see what a yawn looked like in physical form. #TheBachelor #NotMyBachelor,” one fan wrote at the time, while another echoed, “Love to watch another boring season starring an indecisive vanilla manchild. #NotMyBachelor #TheBachelor.” A third person was just mad, writing, “Yeah, yeah, let’s pick the guy with ZERO serious relationship experience to be the Bachelor and get engaged on TV. Another relationship that will end in five minutes flat. Well done, ABC. #NotMyBachelor.”

Hopefully viewers have enjoyed the season so far, since there has been no shortage of drama, to say the least. So, who are some of Ali’s top contenders? “I am so bad with the names early on,” she laughed. “Cassie — super cute, blonde, great teeth and smile. I think she is either going to win or be the Bachelorette. If she doesn’t win, she will be the Bachelorette, calling it day one. I really liked Tayshia — she seemed awesome, chill, down to earth, pretty. Those are the two that stood out to me so far. I feel like they are going to be around for a while.”
It’s no secret that the handsome hunk is a ~virgin~ either, but the blonde beauty thinks that Colton is “being a good sport by going along with it.” She added, “I mean, he said some things like ‘I could lose my virginity on this [show].’ I am like, ‘Come on, Colton.’ Don’t let them pull you into the whole thing but you know, in a way, he has to play a game and he’s going to. But yeah, they have got to let it go, but they aren’t going to. I think we can make fun drinking games out of it or whatever.”
We love that Bachelor Nation always has each other’s backs.
