Yeah, things were that good. French Montana reflected on his relationship with ex-girlfriend, Khloé Kardashian, and he thinks the former flames “are always going to be friends.”

“I feel like we had a real dope relationship,” the 34-year-old told Haute Living for their August cover story. “There was no bad blood, nobody did something to somebody that we couldn’t come back from.”

He also gushed about the “love” he and Khloe once shared — and how “real” the connection and bond was at the time. “When the love was like that, it’s always going to be like that,” he explained. “Friendship after a relationship is something that’s real hard to do, and I’m glad we’ve been able to do it.”

Khlo, 35, and French have definitely been a shining example of ~life after love~. Most recently, the Morocco native was spotted celebrating Kourtney Kardashian‘s milestone 40th birthday with the rest of the Kar-Jenner clan at their star-studded bash back in April.

Naturally, their supposed reunion at the party got relationship rumors swirling and fans were seriously into a possible rekindling with the KUWTK star. But supposedly, it’s all friendship up in here.

Back in February, the Bronx-repping rapper left a pretty thirsty comment on a photo of the Good American designer on Instagram. Kourtney posted a pic of herself with Khloé and little sisters Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner. French commented with a “Love-You Gesture: Medium-Light Skin Tone on Apple iOS 12.1” emoji. Saucy.

Believe it or not, French echoed the same sentiments of friendship with Koko years ago, so clearly, they’ve been going strong. “She’s good, she’s good. I spoke to her last week. We’re great friends. I think we’re going to be friends forever,” he told E! News in 2016.

The former flames broke up in 2014 after a year of dating. Who knows, maybe we’ll see them try it again sometime.
