Most people would try to avoid seeing their ex at a public event, but not Hannah Brown! The 25-year-old couldn’t feel more unphased about running into ex-boyfriend Tyler Cameron at the 2019 E! People’s Choice Awards on Sunday, November 10 in L.A. In fact, she went the extra mile and greeted her former flame.

“I actually saw him with his mom and, and I said hello to them,” she told Life & Style and other reporters at the PCAs. “So I think it’s really sweet that he brought his mom.”

Hannah is a super busy gal nowadays. The former Bachelorette is currently in this season’s Dancing With the Stars Top 6 alongside her dance partner, Alan Bersten. Having accomplished so much recently has affected her perspective and made her more confident, which is partially why it didn’t bother her seeing Tyler. “I think I have so much going on right now,” she continued. “I mean I came straight from practice for the show tomorrow so there are, there’s no place for nerves, and honestly, I’m just really focused on myself right now and just really glad that I am able to be here and to celebrate the nomination of the award.” Yes, girl!

She and Tyler were both up for Reality Contestant Award, and Hannah won. “Thank you so much,” she said in her speech. “This award means a lot to me because it affirms that it’s OK to be vulnerable and put your heart out there, and that people receive and give that love back. To everyone who supported me on this crazy year, I was just a girl from Alabama. Thank you for allowing me to be that girl from Alabama and shine that light. Go Tide!”

While Hannah always seems self-assured, there have been instances she felt anxious recently. If anything, it proves she’s just like the rest of us. For instance, when she introduced Alan to her family, the former beauty pageant queen wasn’t sure what to expect. “I was kind of nervous!” she exclusively told Life & Style at the DWTS Top 6 Finalist Party on November 4. “Not because of Alan or my family, but there’s always that pressure of, ‘Oh my God, am I gonna have to stay by Alan?'” Thankfully, the encounter went super well. Now all that’s left to do is see how the pair’s next DWTS performance goes!
