Just two weeks after Hayden Panettiere opened up about her struggle with postpartum depression, the 26-year-old's rep reveals that she's taking drastic steps to get better.
“[Hayden] is voluntarily seeking professional help at a treatment center as she is currently battling postpartum depression,” the rep tells People magazine. “She asks that the media respect her privacy during this time.”
The Nashville star, who welcomed daughter Kaya Evodokia, 10 months, with fiancé Wladimir Klitschko in December, previously talked about her battle with the post-pregnancy condition on Live! with Kelly and Michael.

“It’s something a lot of women experience," Hayden shared. "But you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal.”
She added, “There’s a lot of misunderstanding…‘Oh, it’s hormones.’ [Women] brush it off. It’s something that’s completely uncontrollable. It’s really painful and it’s really scary and women need a lot of support.”
We wish you well in your treatment, Hayden!
