Heidi Montag Chooses ‘Hills’ Alum Jen Bunney as Her Baby’s Godmother — and Our Hearts Can’t Deal
Just days after Speidi welcomed their first child — a baby boy named Gunner Stone — Heidi Montag took to Instagram to let fans know that she named her former Hills co-star Jen Bunney as one of Gunner’s godmothers. (TBH, our nostalgia-loving hearts can hardly handle this glorious piece of information.)
“Cheers! I have one of Gunner’s godmothers here, Jen Bunney,” the “Superficial” songstress, 31, said in an Instagram story, to which Jen replied, “We’re celebrating Gunner. He’s the best baby ever. We love him so much.”

The couple welcomed Gunner at 3:06 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1, Us Weekly reported. Their son weighed in at 6 pounds, 12 ounces and he measured in at 19 inches long. Little Gunner also takes after his daddy, Spencer Pratt, and he was born with blond hair and blue eyes.
“Heidi and Spencer are proud parents of a healthy baby boy as of this afternoon,” Heidi and Spencer’s rep revealed in a statement.
Even though little Gunner was just born, Spencer and Heid are already doting stage parents. During an appearance on Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss’ podcast Allegedly, the dad-to-be revealed that he and his wife picked their son’s name based on available social media handles.
“This kid will have an iPhone at birth. I’m gonna teach this kid how to Snap when they’re born, like, ‘Put your finger here,'” the 34-year-old said, adding that he’s already secured accounts for his son. “You walk around, everybody’s making their own content all day long. We live a new world where everyone’s a fame whore, so I’m happy to let him be at an advanced level. I just would like my baby to be a professional content maker.”
The couple’s pal Kristin Cavallari dished a little bit on Heidi’s baby’s potential moniker during her special presentation for her Chinese Laundry and Uncommon James collections, which was party of the Kia Style360 NYFW event at Bagatelle on Monday night. “She’s asked me advice and I’ve told her “it’s your baby, not mine! My name doesn’t matter.” I like all of her names actually, I really do — that’s honest.” We can’t wait to see what they come up with!
The couple, who’s been married for eight years, first announced their pregnancy in April. “Heidi has wanted to be a mom since the day I met her. She has planned for and thought about this,” Spencer shared.
He also recalled the moment The Hills alum told him the news. “The look on her face, I can’t even describe it. She was literally glowing,” he said. “I thought she was about to say she made muffins or banana bread. Heidi said, ‘I’m pregnant.’ I was like, ‘Whoa, that’s way more exciting than banana bread!’”
A month later, the duo revealed they’re having a son. “It was in my heart to have a boy,” Heidi, 30, confessed. “I hope to have a little girl one day, but for my first child, I really wanted a son. I’m hoping to God that we don’t just have one, but if we do, I wanted a son. I thought it’d be a more natural bond for Spencer since he and his dad are so close.”
She added, “I’m really excited for his personality and his little smile. I’m excited to take him to Disneyland and to see if he’s into dinosaurs, Mickey Mouse or ballerinas — it can be anything. Maybe he’ll be the best dancer!”
