Evidently, AntChristina Anstead and Tarek El Moussa are blended family goals. They each work hard to make sure the kids are happy no matter the circumstance. It turns out, Christina’s hubby has a go-to motto on how to successfully coparent when dealing with exes.

“Everybody has to be on the same page,” Ant, 40, told Entertainment Tonight in an interview published on October 9. “Everybody has to be present and pulling in the same direction. That includes Tarek, it includes my ex.”

He continued, “If everybody wants the same thing, and that has to be kids first. If you prioritize kids first, it actually kind of falls into place and the rest of it makes sense. If you ever make a decision that doesn’t put the kids first, it is the wrong decision.”

Ant and Christina welcomed their first child together in September. However, they each have other children from previous relationships. Christina and Tarek share Taylor, 9, and Brayden, 4, while Ant shares Archie, 12, and Amelie, 15, with his ex-wife, Louise Anstead.

Like Ant, Tarek also shares the same perspective on coparenting. He and Christina didn’t have the best breakup, however, they’ve managed to make their relationship stronger for the sake of their children. Things are going so smoothly for the former flames that Tarek even brought his current girlfriend, Heather Rae Young, to his daughter Taylor’s birthday party at Christina and Ant’s house.

Tarek echoed a similar sentiment to Ant’s during HGTV’s A Very Brady Renovation premiere in September. “Really, there’s only one tip that people need to remember: The kids are first,” the 38-year-old exclusively told Life & Style. Like, that’s it, you know? If you remember to always put the kids first the rest falls into place.”

When it comes to Ant and Christina’s relationship with each other, the pair make it work so well because they make a team. “The only thing I get from her is full 100% support,” he told ET about his wife. “She supports everything I do, and I support everything she does and because of that we can both do so much more.” We totally believe it! Can we say relationship goals?!
