Y’all, We Can’t Believe Our Little BB Honey Boo Boo Child Is Officially A Teenager!
Work it, Smoochie! We absolutely cannot believe that our favorite little baby from TLC’s Toddlers and Tiaras is all grown up. Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson turned 13 years old today, which means she’s officially a teenager now. Alana’s famous family and former Here Comes Honey Boo Boo stars took to social media to wish her a happy birthday. Watch the video above to see their tributes and to see what Alana looks like today!
It felt like yesterday we were watching the adorable little girl chug Go Go juice — a mixture of Mountain Dew, 5 Hour Energy, and any other energy drink like Monster, Red Bull, etc. — to help her get pumped before going out on stage and wowing judges on the child beauty pageant circuit. Honey Boo Boo captured the hearts of TLC viewers while she was on Toddlers and Tiaras because she was so cute and because she was super funny with her silly sayings and antics.
Fans loved her so much that TLC decided to give Alana her own spin-off, and she was just six years old when she became the star of her own reality TV show, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. The show ran from 2012 to 2014, and was canceled after a scandal involving Alana’s mom, June “Mama June” Shannon. Reports claimed that June was involved in a relationship with a registered sex offender who has served jail time for allegedly molesting June’s oldest daughter Anna “Chickadee” Shannon, and even though June denied it, TLC still pulled the family off the air.
But the Shannons made their big reality TV return last year on WE tv’s Mama June: From Not to Hot. Season 1 documented June’s drastic weight loss, and Season 2 followed her as she struggled to keep the weight off. In a recent episode, June and Alana even went back to their pageant roots and competed together in a mother-daughter pageant together.
