Bachelor’s Jade Roper Gives Birth to 3rd Child, a Baby Boy, With Husband Tanner Tolbert
Tie-breaker! Jade Roper gave birth to her and Tanner Tolbert’s third child — their second son — on Saturday, November 14.
“5:33 a.m.,” the proud dad revealed their child’s birth time on his Instagram Stories. “Mama and baby are doing great!” The mother of three shared a photo of her newborn son resting on her chest later that day. “He’s here and he’s perfect,” she captioned the intimate snapshot.
The Bachelor alum, 33, announced her pregnancy via Instagram in May. “HERE WE GROW AGAIN,” the Colorado native captioned a photo featuring herself, Tolbert, also 33, daughter Emerson, 3, son Brooks, 15 months, and ultrasound photos. “It feels so good to be able to finally talk about this pregnancy! … We are beyond happy to love another baby, to give Emmy and Brooks another sibling and to have our children be so close! #partyof5 #babynumber3.”
The Bachelorette alum added with a post of his own at the time: “Figured it was only fair if I carried this one.” He cradled a fake baby bump in the social media upload.
In July, the former auto sales manager shared photos of Emerson crying at the baby-to-be’s sex reveal when blue powder got on her face. “It’s a BOY!” Tolbert captioned the Instagram slideshow.
He and the “Mommies Tell All” podcast cohost wed in 2016 after meeting and falling in love on season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise. The couple became parents the following year, then welcomed Brooks in an emergency home birth in their master closet in July 2019.
“I’ve been still processing the shock of this all, as this was not all at what I had planned, but I am so so thankful for each person who helped bring our son into the world safely,” the Naturally Jade cosmetics creator reflected on the experience at the time. “It was one of the scariest moments of my life because I felt so out of control, but Tanner, Tanner’s mom, my mom and the medics and firefighters kept me going when I felt like the world was caving in on me and my unborn baby.”
One week prior to their third pregnancy announcement, Tolbert exclusively spoke to Life & Style about their family plans, saying his wife “definitely” wanted baby No. 3.
“I was hesitant to start, but I feel like I’m starting to lean, you know, on Jade’s camp a little bit,” the Kansas native explained in May. “It feels like a lot. I want to do it soon. I want to get out of this diaper stage as quickly as possible and … take my lickings all at once. So, if we decide to, I think it will be sooner than later.”
Roper chimed in at the time: “It’s easy for the guy to say that, right?”
