The drama between Jersey Shore Family Vacation star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and his baby mama Jen Harley has reached a boiling point. Jen was reportedly arrested on domestic battery charges in Las Vegas on Sunday, June 24 after she allegedly beat Ronnie and dragged him with a car. Now, Jen told cops the reality star struck her multiple times during their heated altercation and cops determined a mutual battery did occur. However, she was the primary aggressor, according to a new report from TMZ.
Jen, 31, reportedly told cops Ronnie started getting hostile with her while she was driving, reaching for her steering wheel and hitting her multiple times from the passenger seat. Jen claims she pulled over as soon as possible, so she could grab their 3-month-old daughter out of her car seat and start waving down other drivers for help. Ronnie also shared his side of the story, telling officers Jen hit him 2 to 5 times before he hopped in the drivers seat and zoomed off. The police report states Jen had minor cuts, dried blood, and scratches. Ronnie's injuries included cuts to his mouth, arms and road-rash.
Cops were first notified of Jen and Ronnie's domestic dispute after a passerby called in to report a fight between them. Jen was later taken into police custody and her bail was set at $3,000. While it's unclear why the former couple was fighting, it seems like their domestic dispute may have to do with their daughter. The former couple has a very tumultuous relationship ever since they welcomed their first child together in April — a baby girl named Ariana — and this isn't the first time their fights got physical.
Jen and Ronnie's most recent altercation took place just three weeks ago when Jen allegedly confronted Ronnie after she showed up "unannounced" at the Las Vegas hotel where he was filming Season 2 of his MTV reality TV series Jersey Shore Family Vacation, according to Us Weekly. "Ronnie and Jen have been fighting over their daughter. Ronnie has been filming the show in Vegas the last couple of days and Jen wouldn’t tell him where their daughter is," an insider revealed. "Jen lunged, spit and shoved Ronnie. Hotel security got involved, who then called the Las Vegas police department."
Emotions were also running high becuase the former couple's pitbull had recently died, and Jen was allegedly supposed to be watching the pup while Ronnie was filming, but he came home and found out that the dog was dead after it drowned in a pool.
Jen denied the allegations that she had gotten physical with Ronnie during that confrontation. "I did not hit him, I did not punch him," she told People. "It was all recorded."
But it seems like things may have gotten physical between her and Ronnie on Sunday, and it wouldn't be Jen's first run-in with the law. Jen was previously arrested on domestic violence charges back in 2013 during a fight with her ex-husband.
