The cutest! Alex Rodriguez is damn proud of Jennifer Lopez and held her in his arms moments after she went on stage during her “It’s My Party” tour. The engaged couple looked so completely smitten in a recent video posted on the pop star’s Instagram Story and we can’t help but be obsessed with these two.
“Always love seeing this one as soon as I step off stage!!” the 49-year-old captioned a video on Thursday, June 13, of the baseball player, 43, hugging and congratulating her. It looked like the pair already had a million things to talk about as Jen sipped out of a diamond-encrusted cup. The A-listers, who got engaged on March 9, are always super supportive of each other and constantly gassing up the other’s projects and endeavors.
It turns out, their ambition is something that connects them. “It’s great to have a best friend and a partner you can really build with, and I just feel like with Alex and I, that’s what it’s like,” the “On the Floor” artist gushed during an appearance on SiriusXM on April 4. “We’re both very similar, like we were talking about that this morning on the treadmill.” Besides enjoying the same hobbies, like working out, they have a matching work ethic. “It was just having somebody who understands you from the inside as far as like, ‘I really want to work hard. I really love what I do, and I really want to work hard at it and understand that.”
At the end of the day, the gorgeous duo is always challenging each other to get out of their comfort zones. “It doesn’t mean I don’t love you. We love each other, but we’re doing this together,” the Bronx native continued. “It’s just a thing. It’s one of those things — you meet a like-minded person who is trying to be the best they can be and always trying to grow and then they help you grow and you help them grow. I’m better here and he’s better here, and together we make each other better.”
