Jennifer Lopez Shares Rare Photo With Child Emme as They Attend ‘Wicked’ Premiere Together in L.A.
It looks like Jennifer Lopez had a ~wonderful~ time at the Los Angeles Wicked premiere with her child Emme Muñiz.
The “Jenny From the Block” hitmaker, 55, took to her Instagram Stories on Monday, November 11, to share a selfie that she took with her 16-year-old at the L.A. premiere of the Wicked movie on November 9. A glammed-up J. Lo smiled gently for the camera as her teen, who sat next to her in the theater, leaned forward and flashed their teeth in a huge grin. Emme’s twin brother, Max, did not appear to join his sibling and mom at the premiere.
“Wicked!! We loooved it,” J. Lo wrote in her post, adding pink and green heart emojis, as well as a witch and a fairy.
The Atlas star turned heads at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion event in a beaded brown and cream Zuhair Murad gown. Her halter top dress featured two cutouts on the sides to show off her incredibly toned abs, as well as a high slit. J. Lo completed the ensemble with matching bangles, a clutch bag and cream heels, with her hair styled in an updo.
Emme did not walk the red carpet with their mom before the movie, but J. Lo was joined by plenty of other stars, including Wicked cast members Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Bailey, Ethan Slater, Jeff Goldblum and Michelle Yeoh. Original Broadway Wicked actresses Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth were also in attendance.
The “Let’s Get Loud” hitmaker’s outing with Emme came amid her ongoing divorce from Ben Affleck. J. Lo filed for dissolution of marriage on August 20, Life & Style confirmed at the time. She listed their date of separation as April 26 and submitted the paperwork on the second anniversary of her and Ben’s lavish second wedding ceremony at his Georgia estate.

The filing was seemingly a long time coming for the estranged couple. In Touch reported in May that J. Lo and Ben, 52, were “headed for a divorce” after they hadn’t been spotted together in months.
“He’s focusing on his work and his kids now,” the insider said, noting that Ben was not “to blame” for their marital issues. “Ben already moved out and they’ll likely have to sell the dream house they spent two years searching for. They’ll never stop loving each other, but she can’t control him, and he can’t change her. There’s no way it could have lasted.”
The pair publicly listed their Beverly Hills mansion for sale for $68 million in July. It has yet to be sold as of publication. Meanwhile, Ben moved into a bachelor pad in the Pacific Palisades, while J. Lo is reportedly still looking for a new home.
In her first interview since the divorce filing, J. Lo told comedian Nikki Glaser during a sit-down for Interview magazine that this time in her life “feels lonely, unfamiliar, scary. It feels sad. It feels desperate.”
“But when you sit in those feelings and go, ‘These things are not going to kill me,’ it’s like, actually, I am capable of joy and happiness all by myself. Being in a relationship doesn’t define me. I can’t be looking for happiness in other people,” she continued. “I was thinking about this time in my life, and I’m like, ‘That’s not what I thought it was going to turn out like.’ And then I thought, ‘No, this is exactly where I needed to be, to lead me to where I want to go.’ That doesn’t mean it didn’t almost take me out for good. It almost did. But now, on the other side of it, I think to myself, ‘F–k, that is exactly what I needed.’”
