Jessica Alba and Cash Warren Call It Quits After 16 Years of Marriage, Plan to Divorce: Report
Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, have reportedly called it quits after more than 16 years of marriage.
Sources told TMZ on Wednesday, January 8, that Jessica, 43, and Cash, 45, recently separated and plan to file for a divorce.
It’s not currently clear why they have chosen to end their marriage, though both Jessica and Cash have hinted at troubles in their relationship in recent months. Jessica recently attended a pre-Golden Globes party on January 4 at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood without Cash, and she notably ditched her wedding band for the outing.
Jessica also fueled split rumors one month earlier when she was seen without her wedding ring while out with film producer Andrea Iervolino in Rome. Meanwhile, Cash ditched his wedding band when he was spotted out and about in Los Angeles last week.
Neither Jessica nor Cash have publicly addressed the split rumors, and they did not immediately respond to Life & Style‘s request for comment.
The pair first met on set of Fantastic Four in 2004, in which Jessica played Sue Storm, a.k.a. the Invisible Woman and Cash worked as a director’s assistant.
“Right after I met [Cash], I called my best friend and was like, ‘I met this guy and I feel like I’ve known him forever and I’m gonna know him for the rest of my life,'” Jessica recalled of their first interaction while speaking to Cosmopolitan in September 2010.
Jessica and Cash went on to get married in May 2008 and they welcomed their eldest daughter, Honor, in June of that year. The couple later welcomed their second daughter, Haven, in August 2011 and a son Hayes in December 2017.

Back in 2021, Jessica opened up about what made her and Cash’s marriage successful. “At different times, there were different things that we needed. Around the time I had the kids, it was like, ‘I need [date night] once a week,'” she told People at the time. “And he’s been like, ‘I need you to be present on the weekends and not work.’ Over-communicating, maybe that’s it.”
The Honest Company founder added that she and Cash used to “over-communicate what’s happening before it gets to the point of no return.”
After noting that she didn’t believe that they had “a secret” to keeping their marriage strong, Jessica added, “We just have to check each other.”
Despite putting on a united front for more than a decade, Cash did admit that he and Jessica briefly split before they wed.
“When we first started dating, I was really jealous of other guys and the attention she was getting from other guys. It just wasn’t making me feel good,” he shared while appearing on the “Whine Down with Jana Kramer” podcast in August 2023. “We broke up. It was jealousy. I was turning into an a–hole, and so we broke up. During that time apart, I made a promise to myself to channel that [jealously] in a different way.”
While the couple was able to work through the conflict, they continued to experience hardships when it came to raising their children. In January 2024, an insider exclusively told Life & Style that Jessica “put in the work” in order to improve her family’s home life.
