Jessica Alba Files for Divorce From Husband Cash Warren After 16 Years of Marriage

Jessica Alba has filed for divorce from Cash Warren, Life & Style can confirm.

The founder of The Honest Company, 43, filed the paperwork obtained by Life & Style on Friday, February 7, and listed the official date of separation as December 27, 2024. Jessica cited the reason for the divorce as “irreconcilable differences.” TMZ was the first to report and stated that Cash, 45, filed shortly after Jessica and that the former couple did not have a prenup in place.

The former couple met while working on the 2005 film The Fantastic Four. Jessica starred in the movie as Sue Storm and Cash was working on the set as the director’s assistant at the time. They went on to get married in 2008 and they share three children together.

The Honey star has been open about her relationship with Cash, including how she felt an instant connection with him as soon as they met.

“I just knew when I met him that I was going to know him forever. It was weird. He instantly felt like family,” the Killers Anonymous actress told InStyle during an interview published in 2013, per People. “I’d never felt like that with anyone. We got each other. We’re kindred spirits.”

Jessica also praised Cash for knowing when she could use a break and how he would encourage her to spend time with friends.

“On a weekend Cash might say, ‘Go get your nails done with a girlfriend. Haven is down for a nap and Honor and I will play. I know you work hard. You deserve some time for yourself,” the Trigger Warning star said at the time. “That, to me, is romantic. He’s saying, ‘You matter,’ and that I’m more than just the mother of the kids or the wife who goes out to events with him.”

During an April 2024 interview on Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt’s podcast, “BDA Baby,” Jessica opened up about the ups and downs of her marriage.

“We have the friendship and the comfort of, like, ‘You’re not going anywhere,’ and so, sometimes, you don’t treat those people the best,” Jessica explained during the episode. “You don’t consider their feelings in the way that you would consider other people’s feelings.”

The Into the Blue star continued, “It’s a life journey. I think if you’re both, every day, deciding to do it, it’s going to work out regardless of the drama, regardless if anything happens, if you’re both like, ‘I want this. I want to figure this out,’ nothing can really break that.”

The following month, all seemed well between the former couple as they celebrated their sixteenth anniversary together.

“16 years of marriage, 20 years together and forever to go,” Jessica wrote via Instagram. “Happy Anniversary @cash_warren. I’m proud of us for making it this far.”

She continued, “There is no real set of rules or guidance that can ever prepare you for what it means to commit to another person and choose to be family. Through thick and thin we have continually found our way back to each other and have chosen one another. Cheers to us, I love you.”

However, less than a year later, there was trouble in paradise. Jessica was seen not wearing her wedding ring when she was out with Andrea Iervolino while she spent time in Rome in December 2024. The following month, Cash was spotted without the jewelry while in Los Angeles.

On January 8, the news broke that Jessica and Cash were “recently separated, and they’re moving forward with divorce.” TMZ was the first to report the news.
