Good Pals? Jessie J and Channing Tatum Have a Friendly Instagram Exchange After Their Breakup
It looks like there are no hard feelings between Channing Tatum and Jessie J after their split. It turns out, the 31-year-old singer left her 39-year-old ex-boyfriend a friendly Instagram comment on one of his posts on December 2 — two weeks before the world learned they broke up.
“I wanted it to cut to you doing Pony by the Sydney Opera House so bad Chan,” she commented on the actor’s IG photo with the Magic Mike theater cast. Channing replied, “Next time I’m in Sydney I’ll get it done.” It looks like their breakup was amicable because that comment sounds like nothing has changed between them! News of their split broke on Thursday, December 19. “Channing Tatum and Jessie J broke up about a month ago,” Us Weekly reported. “They are still really close and still good friends.”
The former flames called it quits after a year together. They first made their relationship public on November 13, 2018, after Channing shared a photo of her performing. “This woman just poured her heart out on stage at the Royal Albert Hall,” he captioned the Insta post of his girlfriend at the time. “Whoever was there got to witness something special. Wow.”
Not long after that, the pair began spending plenty of time together. He even introduced the brunette beauty to his 6-year-old daughter — Everly — whom he shares with ex Jenna Dewan. The “Price Tag” crooner, Channing and Everly went on vacation together over the summer and had a blast, according to a source who exclusively spoke to Life & Style.
“Jessie has passed the biggest test of all — Channing’s daughter Everly loves her,” the insider revealed about their July trip at the time. “What’s even better is that Channing’s ex Jenna is happy that the two are bonding, even encouraging her daughter to be especially nice to Jessie.”
Though their romance was short-lived, Channing seemed to be head over heels for Jessie. “He’s totally consumed by this love affair and wants to be with Jessie 24/7,” another source divulged to Life & Style in June. “They’ll spend the whole day in bed together, oblivious that there’s a world out there.” Hopefully, both of them are doing OK after the split.
