OMGJessie James Decker Shares Dramatic Weight Loss Photo: ‘My Goal Is To Be Fit, Not Skinny’
Uh, wow! Jessie James Decker shared a dramatic weight loss photo on Instagram on Jan. 8, and fans can’t get over how fab she looks. The singer kept it very real in a lengthy caption as she recapped her struggles with her post-baby body. So, how did Jessie lose the weight? By using the South Beach Diet and showing herself a lot more self-love and patience.
“I know you’ll see a lot of people in the public eye and they drop weight in what seems like five minutes after having a baby and I think we all feel like we should live up to those expectations,” Jessie wrote in her heartfelt post. “I’ve even been guilty of that myself and thinking I need to rush and lose weight two months after having a baby when I see all these skinny girls post-baby but that is just not realistic for the majority of us. I have been every shape and size over the last four and a half years.”
The brunette beauty shares three children –– Forrest Bradley, Eric “Bubby” Thomas Jr, and Vivianne Rose –– with her hubby, Eric Decker. Jessie continued on to explain that she had a “good metabolism” and never “had to worry about losing weight” until she had kids.
“I got up to 165 pounds with my first baby and being 5’1 it was really hard on my frame and I definitely struggled self-esteem wise,” the author divulged. She credited having the proper education as to what to eat for her ability to shed the pounds.
“My goal now as far as my body goes is to be healthy and happy and fit not ‘skinny’ just fit and healthy and the best version of myself.” Although Jessie was a “little nervous” about sharing her “before” picture with followers, she wanted to “keep it real” and doesn’t want anyone to feel “hopeless” on their weight loss journey.
