The First Pic of Julie Stiles’ New Baby Strummer Is Guaranteed to Make You Melt

Omg, Julia Stiles may actually have the cutest baby that’s ever existed! The 10 Things I Hate About You actress and her hubby Preston J. Cook welcomed their first child together on Oct. 20, and they finally gave us a peek at the little cutie on Nov. 30!

Okay, okay, so we still can’t see his face, but it’s better than just the hand she showed when she announced his birth on Nov. 21! “Strummer Newcomb Cook, born October 20, 2017,” she wrote alongside a photo of a tiny hand wrapped around her thumb. “Thanks and ever thanks to the extraordinary Doctors, Nurses and staff at Mount Sinai for helping bring this utter joy into our lives. ❤️✨ ‘Hello, World!'”

Naturally, people were a little iffy about the unusual name Julia gave her precious baby boy. “Strummer Newcomb Cook?!? Not feeling that name… it’s too serious and stuffy. Did she use the royal posh generator name website? #CorneliusBurtonMontgomery,” joked one fan. Another agreed, saying “I fear for 2022 when convos about kids are: “gunner and strummer got in a fight so dream and saint came with ivy and dusty.” What’s a Tom?”

Julia even admitted that neither her nor Preston’s parents were fans of the name. “Both sets of grandparents don’t like the name that we came up with,” she revealed on SiriusXM’s Wake Up with Taylor show back in September. “But they’re gonna get over it.” We’re sure as soon as they saw Strummer’s sweet little face, the last thing they cared about was whether or not they loved the name. Congrats to the new parents!
