It’s a Christmas miracle! Or is it…? Despite several reports suggesting that Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle will be spending the holidays apart because of their bitter rivalry, a royal source has confirmed to Life & Style that both duchesses will be “under one roof at Sandringham” come Dec. 25.
“Christmas is one of the rare occasions where all the royals get together and celebrate the festivities, and it’s the perfect time of year for Kate and Meghan to put their differences behind them and start fresh,” the source explained. However, they went on to note that this “fresh start” may be a bit more smoke and mirrors than one would expect from a group of well-mannered monarchs.
“The Queen is hoping to put to bed rumors of their feud when William and Kate are publicly seen attending St. Mary Magdalene Church with Harry and Meghan on Christmas day,” the source revealed. “Despite the drama that’s going on behind closed doors, the girls know how to play the media and will put on a happy front for the cameras as they walk into the service together.” Ummm, we’re going to go ahead and give that one big bah humbug!
Then again, can we really be surprised? After all, the mother-of-three was not too pleased to hear that the former actress’ mother, Doria Ragland, was invited to break holiday bread with Queen Elizabeth. “Kate’s parents have never been asked to spend the holidays with the queen,” a palace insider previously revealed to Life & Style.
“Instead, she and William have been forced to split their time between the Middletons and the royals, shuffling their children from household to household.” Ouch. That’s definitely got to sting. “She understands that most of Meghan’s family is estranged from her and that this was a kind gesture, but it still hasn’t stopped her from thinking that Prince Harry’s wife has got it easy!” the source added.
