Following reports that Khloé Kardashian is pregnant with her first child, the reality star has been keeping an uncharacteristically low profile. So low that Khloé and her boyfriend Tristan Thompson have yet to confirm the baby news themselves — and it looks like the mom-to-be is finally tired of living in the spotlight.

Sources are reporting exclusively to Life & Style that Khloé, 33, has decided to take an extended maternity leave from Keeping Up With the Kardashians. “When Khloé originally said she wanted to take a long break, Kris [Jenner] thought she meant she would be taking three to four months off like Kourtney and Kim did,” says the source. When Khloé told her mom she wanted to six to 18 months off from filming KUWTK, Kris went ballistic.

Kris wants what’s best for the empire, and “she is absolutely stunned Khloé is willing to walk away from the show to be a stay-at-home mom,” adds a source. However, the brunette beauty is holding firm when it comes to her decision to stay off-camera, and her NBA boyfriend is right behind her. No
matter what, says the source, “she’s going to hunker down and nest with the baby.”

Last week, sources told Life & Style that the couple is banning cameras from the baby’s birth. “Khloé and Tristan made a decision not to have the birth of their child filmed for Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” an insider says. “Kris is having a meltdown because it would be great television. Fans have been in on Khloé’s journey to have a baby for years!”

And Tristan, 26, is the one who is adamant filming not take place in the hospital. “He’s a very private person,” notes the source. “He watched old episodes and was horrified when he saw Kourtney giving birth to Mason. He’s more convinced than ever to not have the birth filmed.” Khloé and Tristan are reportedly due to welcome a baby boy early next year.
