In the wake of the school shooting in Parkland, FL which killed 17 people and wounded at least 12 others, Kim Zolciak and her husband, Kroy Biermann, have decided to buy their kids bulletproof backpacks. Kim, who's a mother to six kids — Brielle, 20, Ariana, 16, KJ, 6, Kash, 5, and twins Kaia and Kane, 4 — posted a photo of the backpack on Instagram and explained why she felt this purchase was absolutely necessary.
"I just asked Kroy what can we do as parents to protect our children everyday in this crazy sad world," Kim wrote, adding that Kroy encouraged her to make the purchase.

I just asked Kroy what can we do as parents to protect our children everyday in this crazy sad world. He said, "best thing we could do for now is get bullet proof book bags" you know I just did! It's better than not having anything at all. Just thought I would share with you guys. I just found this first on Amazon so I bought it. It's certified.
The suspected school shooter, 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz, is currently in custody and being held without bond. He was charged with 17 counts of premeditated murder and has yet to enter a plea. The FBI said that the alleged shooter posted a disturbing message on YouTube last year saying, "I am going to be a professional school shooter." Law enforcement has also found photos of the alleged shooter holding guns to his face on his social media accounts.
