Kylie and Kendall Jenner ‘Learned How to Forgive and Move On’: They’re ‘Very Closer These Days’
It was, as Kylie Jenner described her October 19 appearance at the Academy Museum Gala, “a very special sister night.” Donning a vintage Thierry Mugler gown, the Kylie Cosmetics founder hit the red carpet with sibling Kendall Jenner — who coordinated her look in a similarly strappy, black Schiaparelli dress. In a video clip Kylie shared, the two can be seen walking hand-in-hand at the LA event, commenting on how even though they saw each other the day before, they would miss each other when they parted.
This family lovefest hasn’t always been the case for Kylie, 27, and Kendall, 29. Kris Jenner’s youngest daughters are no strangers to spats that truly tested their bond over the years. “Their fights have been epic, even worse than anyone has seen on TV,” an insider exclusively tells Life & Style. “It gets ugly, physical even, very down-and-dirty.”
While both Kylie and Kendall are wildly successful women, many of their scuffles have found them reverting back to childhood. “Usually it’s rooted in jealousy — who their mom pays more attention to, who’s the most popular,” says the insider. “They’ve fought over borrowing clothes.”
But sometimes the pair have cut deeper. Kylie — who’s mom to Stormi, 6, and Aire, 2— isn’t above chiding Kendall about being the only one in the Kardashian-Jenner clan who doesn’t have her own kids. “Kylie loves to hit below the belt with that; it’s a sore spot for Kendall and makes her feel like the black sheep of the family,” says the insider. “They have both made each other cry many times.”

Recently, though, the stars of Hulu’s The Kardashians have been thick as thieves. “Kylie and Kendall worked to fix their relationship,” shares the insider. “They’re normal sisters, so they still butt heads, but they have learned how to forgive and move on more easily. They are very close these days.”
That’s a wonderful thing for the two, who have their uncommon experience in common. “It’s hard to find people who understand your life,” Kylie has said of growing up on reality TV and continuing to share her private world with viewers. “It’s such a rare thing … with fame, so to have one another to lean on has been really important.”
According to the insider, Kendall is there for Kylie’s children, as well. “She adores Stormi and Aire,” the insider tells Life & Style, “and is constantly checking in on them.”
Though they often mix business and family time, the duo are happy to hang without cameras around, too. “They’ll make popcorn, cuddle up on the couch and watch a movie, and giggle together,” says the insider. “They’ve promised each other that, no matter what, they’ll stay tight-knit. Kylie and Kendall have had their ups-and-downs, but they’re best friends for life.”
