Kylie Kelce Reveals She Will Cry Taking Daughter Wyatt to Kindergarten, But Not at Drop Off
Kylie Kelce is getting raw and real about motherhood. In the most recent episode of her popular podcast, “Not Gonna Lie” that dropped on Thursday Sept. 4, the mom of four teared up while talking about her daughter’s newest milestone.
The 33-year-old mother opened up about her struggles with her eldest daughter, Wyatt Kelce, growing up so fast.
“You know what’s f—– up? My baby is suddenly old enough to be a Kindergartener. Oh my god. No. Oh, I don’t like calling her a baby and then saying she’s going to Kindergarten.”
She also said that Wyatt has resorted to telling the adults in her household that “she’s ‘growing up on us as’ a way to, you know, twist the dagger. I don’t like it and it’s hurting my feelings.”
Kylie, who, in addition to Wyatt, shares three more daughters, Elliotte 4, Bennett 2, and 5-month-old Finn, with her husband Jason Kelce, later reflected on how she expects to handle the emotional milestone of sending her first child off to kindergarten. “Do I think I’ll cry at drop-off? No. Will I cry driving home from drop-off? Yes. I can almost guarantee that.”
On a lighter note, Kylie shared how excited Wyatt is for the start of school, saying, “Wyatt is so excited. She’s such a little social butterfly. She loves being around kids her own age. She loves playing.”
At the end of the clip, Kylie made a hilarious realization about her husband, Jason, and her brother-in-law, Travis Kelce, after a listener wrote in asking, “Have you and Jason realized this also means Wyatt officially didn’t get kicked out of preschool, unlike her dad and uncle?”
“This is the first time I’m realizing that,” Kylie admitted, “and I’m calling that a win. We’re one for four so far, and I, uh, kinda love that. Starting off strong.”
“I think Ellie will also make it to kindergarten without getting kicked out of preschool. Can’t say the same for Bennie. She’ll definitely do something that at the very least puts us on a very serious phone call and I know that because I know Bennie,” Kylie joked.
