17-Year-Old Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon Gives Birth to a Baby Girl

Congrats are in order for Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and her fiancé, Joshua Efird! The Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star and her soon-to-be hubby took to Twitter early Friday morning to announce the birth of their little girl, Ella Grace.

“Today at 5:01am me and josh officially became parents to a precious 7lb 14oz baby girl. Everyone meet Ella Grace Efird.” So sweet!

Back in August, the 17-year-old reality star announced she was expecting. “So now that the news is out me and josh are expecting a little one ❤️. So happy to start this new adventure with him ??. Love you baby ?,” she wrote on Twitter. But as the due date neared closer, she revealed she was scared about the delivery. “I’m really nervous about having a baby ’cause, I mean, it does have to come out of my hoo-ha,” she said in a video. “My baby daddy’s head is, like, the size of a freakin’ watermelon, so imagine trying to push a watermelon out of your vagina.”

Last year, In Touch reported that Josh, who works as a mechanic, proposed to Pumpkin at a restaurant after almost one year of dating — but not everyone was happy about the nuptials! “I think they’re too young for marriage. I hope they have a long engagement,” Josh’s grandmother Linda told Radar Online at the time. “She’s very sweet, and I love my grandson.”
