Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet Can’t Let Go Either — Still Quote ‘Titanic’ to Each Other!
As the 20th anniversary of Titanic approaches, it’s nice to know we’re not the only ones who can quote the movie from start to finish. It turns out Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet are also still obsessed with the ’90s classic.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that the real-life Jack and Rose are still best friends two decades later, but fans were definitely not expecting Kate, 41, to admit that, from time to time, her and Leo quote their characters’ famous lines.
“We found ourselves saying to each other, ‘Can you imagine if the world really knew the stupid things we say? I’m not going to tell you what we actually talk about, but yeah, we’re very, very close and sometimes we do quote the odd Titanic line back and forth to each other, because only we can, and we find it really funny,” she told Glamour magazine. Do you think Kate has whispered, “Draw me like one of your French girls,” in passing to Leo on the red carpet?
Or on their recent vacation to Saint-Tropez, we can definitely see Kate shouting, “I’m flying, Jack, I’m flying,” as they hold each other on his yacht. And forget saying goodbye before parting ways — Kate definitely utters, “I’ll never let go, Jack,” right?
Obviously, the options are endless but just like the James Cameron-directed film, Kate and Leo’s friendship is also timeless. The pair clearly has a special bond, which Leo, 42, has gushed about from time to time. “She’s still as beautiful and radiant as the day I met her,” Leo said on the Today show. “She is the consummate professional; she keeps pushing herself to an emotional truth when she’s working. That’s why I keep saying she’s the best.”
However, it is not romantic. Kate is currently married to Ned RocknRoll, and Leo is probably dating the newest Victoria’s Secret model. Sigh…
