Proud husband Liam Hemsworth sang Miley Cyrus‘ “Party in the U.S.A.” at the top of his lungs and it’s definitely our summer 2019 mood. He’s a big fan of the singer (obviously) and his recent rendition of the smash hit is probably like nothing you’ve ever heard before.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah it’s a party in the U.S.A.!” the 29-year-old belted out in a thick Australian accent on Instagram. The two could be seen on Sunday, May 5, walking outside at an airport during the gloomy day. Miley, 26, was a few steps ahead of her hubby in a head-to-toe red sweat suit.
“Hey Miley! Miley Miley!” The Hunger Games actor shouted to the blonde beauty to get her to sing along. Unfortunately, she wasn’t in the mood for a duet.
Later, the pop star posted a video of the two sitting on the plane with the hilarious caption, “I hate it, but for some reason people love it.” As they were sitting serenely together, the hunky actor startled the “Wrecking Ball” singer when he screamed, “Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!” Liam loves to scare his wife and it’s frequently captured on camera which means fans can enjoy it, too. Sorry, Miley!
The newlyweds are currently in New York City preparing to attend the prestigious Met Gala. Miley posted a few mirror selfies that said “Notes on Camp” written across them, which is the theme for this year’s event on Monday, May 6. According to the official website, the quirky motif “provides the framework for the exhibition, which examines how the elements of irony, humor, parody, pastiche, artifice, theatricality, and exaggeration are expressed in fashion.” You know the “Malibu” artist is going to break out her best funky fashion for the charity ball.
Miley is a frequent guest at the A-list event but Liam has surprisingly never attended. It will be an exciting debut if he accompanies his wife on this year’s red carpet. We can’t wait to see if they make an appearance!
