Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Reportedly Weren’t At Kate Middleton’s Birthday Lunch
On Wednesday, Jan. 9, Kate Middleton turned 37 and to celebrate her birthday, she and a few friends reportedly gathered up on Sunday, Jan. 13 at Anmer Hall for a lunch. However, according to the Daily Mail, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle weren’t part of the festivities.
While it was reported that the Duchess of Cambridge stayed in on her actual birthday, she seemed to still want to do something with her closest friends, further triggering rumors and speculation of her not getting along with Meghan since she didn’t attend. The guest list included Emilia Jardine-paterson and her husband David, as well as Laura Meade and her husband James. It seems Kate only invited people who are super important to her, considering Laura is Princess Charlotte’s godmother and Emilia is Prince George’s godmother.
TBH, it’s not super rare for Meghan and Harry to miss out on memorable events such as Kate’s birthday bash. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not go to Priyanka Chopra’s wedding to Nick Jonas last month despite being best friends. Besides, life seems to be a bit hectic when you’re a royal — especially when you’re expecting!
The former Suits actress and her hubby are reportedly preparing their big move to Frogmore cottage before the royal baby arrives sometime in Spring. Between that and their royal engagements, it’s not super odd to skip out on the lunch.
For Christmas, Prince William, Kate, Harry, and Meghan stepped out looking happy as ever. However, sources previously revealed to Life & Style that it wasn’t genuine. “Kate and Meghan have had enough media training to last them a lifetime,” the insider said. “They know full well how to put on a happy front for the cameras when it’s a completely different story behind closed doors.”
Whatever the case is, we just hope Kate enjoyed her birthday celebration!
