Rihanna, Lorde, and More Stars Who Suffered Wardrobe Malfunctions at the Met Gala

The wildest night in fashion, the Met Gala, is tonight and promises to be full of gorgeous gowns and shocking outfits. But while plunging necklines and thigh-high slits look great on a runway, they can be hard to manage in real life, resulting in some embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions — which Rihanna, Lorde, and Sarah Jessica Parker have all been unfortunate victims of.

Ever since Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake’s infamous Super Bowl halftime show, the phrase “wardrobe malfunction” has been coined to refer to any time an article of clothing accidentally goes awry and reveals a little too much skin.

But with today’s fashion more revealing than ever, including gowns that are 80 percent sheer and dreses with slits so high, they almost show off your belly button, how does one avoid accidentally flashing too much skin in this day and age?

One celeb you won’t see flashing an embarrassing nip slip or too much underwear is Khloé Kardashian. On her blog, she revealed her tips for making even the tightest and trickiest dresses work. To avoid a nipple slip, she recommends wearing a breast petal.

“They’re made of a thin fabric that’s only big enough to cover your nips so you can’t even tell when someone’s wearing them,” she wrote.

And for those plunging necklines? Double stick tape is your friend!

“If you don’t already own fashion tape you need to invest now!” she wrote. “It’s double sided tape that’s made to stick to both your skin and your clothes so your tatas don’t peek out of your top. I always use it with a deep V top or bodysuit.”

Too bad these celebrities didn’t heed her advice. Check out the gallery below to see celebs who suffered embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions at the Met Gala.
