‘Jersey Shore’ Alum Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino Opens up About His 15-Pound Weight Loss
Talk about a situation! Jersey Shore alum Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has always been known for his abs, but recently, the reality star opened up about his 15-pound weight loss. The 35-year-old is constantly posting about his healthy eating and workout regimen, and he’s clearly happy with the results. Watch the video below to see him now!
Though his GTL-ing hasn’t changed since his shore days, a lot of other things have, like his longtime feud with former co-star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi. Back in August, Mike sat down with Life & Style and gave an exclusive update on his relationship with Snooks. Though the duo bickered and fought on the show — Mike even accused Snooki of cheating on her now-husband Jionni LaValle — these days, there’s no bad blood.
“There was definitely a period of time where there was resentment, most likely on her side. On my side, I was willing to let bygones be bygones,” he said. “We’re on a reality show, stuff happens. This is kind of what we’re supposed to do. At the end of the day, I’ve got nothing but love for [her].”
Besides his weight loss, Mike has also come clean about his battle with addiction. Back in April, he talked to People magazine about being 18 months sober. He opened up about reaching a major low in his life when his addiction to prescription painkillers resurfaced after a doctor prescribed him the meds.
“From there it was just a spiral,” he said. “Your emotions are blocked. So you really ruin relationships with everyone in your life…It’s my life, and I have to take care of it. If I’m not healthy mentally and physically, I’m not going to make it.” Keep up the amazing work, Mike!
