From Exes to Friends! Nick Jonas DMs Miley Cyrus to Compliment Her Recent ‘Throwback’ Posts
Oh, how the tables have turned! 11 years after Miley Cyrus put her ex Nick Jonas on blast for their breakup in her anthem “7 Things,” she’s sliding into his DMs and promoting his music. Nick’s reply to the “Wrecking Ball” singer proves there is no bad blood between the former couple, both 26.
If you’ve been following Miley on social media, you may have noticed she’s been more affectionate than usual. It all started last week around International Women’s Day. Since then, she’s been sharing old photos and videos with Disney alums she once had drama with, such as Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato and of course the Jonas Brothers.
On Tuesday, March 12, Miley Instagram DM’d Nick a screenshot of an old photo of herself rockin’ a Jonas Brothers T-shirt. The actress, who was posing alongside her little sister, Noah Cyrus, in the pic wrote “Lols” along with the message. Nick’s reply is basically all of us. “Amazing. These throwback shots have been,” he wrote, concluding with a fire emoji. From there, Miley shared the screenshot of their convo on Instagram and wrote, “that moment when even your ex knows your socials have been,” with the same emoji. She also posted a clip of herself dancing to Ariana Grande’s “7 Rings.” It’s such a mood.
The friendly exchange has fans living and rejoicing. “No way, what?!?” read one reply. “LOL I’m dead,” commented another person. TBH, same.
The previous day, Miley shared an old group photo on Twitter of the OG Disney squad circa 2009. It was a photo shoot for the Jonas Brothers’ collab with Miley, Selena, and Demi for “Send it On” — a song that promoted their Disney Friends for a Change environmental campaign. However, like in typical Miley fashion, she added her own twist to the pic. Silly gifs of Nick clapping and texts that read “savage” and “sucker 4 u” were part of the Hannah Montana alum’s edits. Clearly, she has no chill. ~ She’s just being Miley ~ and we’re so here for it.
