Sorry, fans, it looks like one hilarious character from Lizzie McGuire will not be appearing in the reboot. Actress Alex Borstein, who played Miss Ungermeyer, exclusively revealed to Life & Style that the hilariously strict teacher from The Lizzie McGuire Movie will stay only in our memories. We thought loyalty went a long way with the Ungermeyer!

“You know, I can’t imagine how it would make any kind of sense. If the show is about her as an adult, why a chaperone from her childhood trip would have kept in touch?” Alex, 48 confessed during The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel season three premiere on December 3. “I don’t know. It doesn’t make sense to me.”

That’s not to say that the actress is completely against making a cameo. “But, if there was something that made sense and was interesting and it offered up an opportunity that is something I’ve never done before, then yes sure! I’d entertain it,” she noted.

The Family Guy star also revealed that she has not seen her former costar from the 2003 movie Hilary Duff in “two years.”

“I have not,” she confessed after being asked if she’s kept in touch with the 32-year-old. “I saw her once. The last time I saw her was like at some photoshoot … some magazine, like, got us all together on a lawn, and they were like here’s a photoshoot with the supporting actors. So that’s like the last time I think I saw her, probably two years ago.”

Although Miss Ungermeyer will be missed, fans still have a lot to look forward to in the rebooted series. The show picks back up with a 30-something Lizzie who is “forced out” of her life in New York City and has to move back home to Los Angeles. Even more surprising, the character is engaged … but not to her BFF Gordo.

You know what, I don’t know if I was as devastated by that,” the actress confessed in an interview with on September 4. “It’s that one person that you’re like, ‘Was he the one? Is it ever going to be?’ You’re always kind of wondering … We wanted it to hurt everyone a little bit, and it’ll continue to hurt. I really hope he’s going to be involved. We’ve been planning out the season and coming up with what everything looks like, and it’s so important for him to be there for part of it.”

We can’t wait!
