The rapper and her partner got married in October 2019 during a secret ceremony, but their history goes back years. The married couple first met during their teen years while living in Queens, New York City. “I met my husband when I was 17 out in Queens / If you love it, let it go, now I know what that means / While he was up North for a body / I bodied everybody and got known for my body,” Nicki rapped about Kenneth on her song “Zanies and Fools.”

“He’s known me since I was 14,” the “Anaconda” artist explained on Apple’s Beats1 “Queen Radio” show. “There’s a different level of passion and friendship with him.”

The Trinidadian singer first revealed her pregnancy on social media in July 2020. “Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement [and] gratitude. Thank you all for the well-wishes,” Nicki captioned a photo of herself showing off her growing baby bump in a multicolored bikini.

In Touch confirmed the “Super Bass” soloist gave birth to her first child on September 30, but she kept fans in the dark about the sex of the baby. Nicki did drop a hint about whether she was having a boy or a girl in July, while sharing several Burberry onesies gifted to her by Riccardo Tisci, the Chief Creative Officer of the luxury fashion house.

The garments looked seemingly unisex — but the items could only be found in the little boys’ section on the designer’s website, not the girls’ section. However, the proud mama finally revealed she had a son in mid-October. She casually announced the sex of her baby while thanking some of her celeb friends for their baby gifts, including Beyoncé and Kim Kardashian.
