Nicole Richie Gives New Mom Cameron Diaz Parenting Advice: ‘They Zoom Each Other’
BFFs who mom together, stay together! Nicole Richie has been giving sister-in-law and new mom Cameron Diaz “parenting advice” amid the coronavirus pandemic, an insider tells Life & Style exclusively. “They Zoom each other almost every day.”
“While they both love being parents, they think it’s healthy to have some ‘child-free’ time and joke that it helps keep them sane,” the source adds about the two mothers. “The BFFs are counting down the days until they can catch up in person!”
Considering the ladies are family, we’re not surprised they get along so fabulously. “Despite their hectic schedules, Cameron and Nicole still manage to find the time to enjoy girls’ night out,” an eyewitness told Life & Style about the Charlie’s Angels star and the Nikki Fresh star during an outing together. “You can tell their friendship is genuine and not just for show as they were talking about how they’d missed their weekly get-togethers!”
Nicole, 38, is mom to two kids, Harlow and Sparrow, with husband Joel Madden. Cameron, 47, and husband Benji Madden, 40, announced the birth of their first child, daughter Raddix, on January 3. “Happy New Year from the Maddens! We are so happy, blessed and grateful to begin this new decade by announcing the birth of our daughter, Raddix Madden,” the Good Charlotte rocker wrote on Instagram at the time. “She has instantly captured our hearts and completed our family.”
Needless to say, navigating a new baby amid a pandemic isn’t the “ideal” scenario. “Cameron can’t wait for everything to get back to normal so that she can take her daughter out in the stroller, but she’s making it work,” the first insider explains. “When she wants to get some fresh air, she’ll go into the garden with Raddix and nurse her outside or lay her on a blanket so she can look up at the trees and has the freedom to kick and move around.”
The legendary actress is really taking to her new ~role~ during this uncertain time with the love and support of family. “Becoming a mother is a dream come true for Cameron,” the source gushed over the new mama. “She says she treasures every minute she has with Raddix and dotes on her.”
