The end of an era! While Nikki Bella and Artem Chigvintsev may be going strong, the same can’t be said about the Russian native’s relationship with Dancing with the Stars. After the series announced its new cast for season 28, which did not include the 37-year-old, he took to Instagram to express his feelings. He and Nikki, 35, even unfollowed the DWTS official Instagram account. Thankfully, the former wrestler was there to comfort her man.

“I’m so sorry my A,” she commented on his photos. “I know big things will happen for you. Their loss, I promise. You are an incredible person with a beautiful soul and are beyond talented. Anyone will be lucky to have you dance for them! Chin up! I’m SO excited to see your new journey and what you will do next!! The world is yours!”

On the bright side, while Artem is bummed, he’s also grateful for the experience. “I just want to say how sad it makes me feel not to be part of Season 28 of DWTS,” he captioned a post filled with photos from his time on the show. “It’s been 10 years since I have joined this absolutely, one of a kind, incredible show! It has given me recognition as a dancer, choreographer and a teacher. I have had so many beautiful memories with all of my celebrity partners! They all have shaped me into the person that I am today.”

He concluded by thanking all the fans. “You all have no idea how much I will miss you all this season! I’m already missing you all so much! Even though this is so hard on me, I will be DWTS’ No. 1 fan, cheering you all on every Monday night! Good luck to everyone on Seasons 28!” he wrote.

Artem left out one special moment during his time on DWTS, though, and it’s when he met his current lady. Artem and Nikki were partnered up together in 2017 during the show’s 25th season. They were sent home during the seventh night, and at the time, were only friends. Less than two years later, the couple began dating. It’s all about timing!
