Is North West Going to Be the Next Big YouTuber? Not If It’s up to Kanye!
They grow up so fast! Kim Kardashian’s little girl North West is every bit as fabulous as her mom: she rocks killer outfits, daring makeup, and adorable hairdos. Recently, the precious four-year-old wanted to try her hand at making a YouTube beauty tutorial. Her mom was on board, but dad Kanye West… not so much.
“You know, the other day it was so funny,” Kim began to WWD. “My daughter watches so many YouTube tutorials and videos and she was unboxing the My Little Pony Colourpop collection and I thought to myself, ‘I wish I was recording this’ because her reaction was so funny,” said Kim. Apparently Northie had the same idea. “Then she did makeup on the My Little Pony that they gave and she said, ‘Mom, I want to do a YouTube video.'” We would love to see that!
Unfortunately, papa Yeezy isn’t on board with putting his kids in the spotlight just yet. Kim talked to Kanye about it and he immediately said no, instead suggesting that North record videos just for fun, not to post online. It sounds like North was okay with just “testing it out,” but the older she gets, the more she’ll want to push boundaries!
It’s no wonder why North is so excited to try new things when she has such a strong entrepreneur as a mother. As a matter of fact, her recent interview was to hype up her new crystal fragrance line, which is her seventh scent so far! Kim admits that social media is a huge tool in marketing the products she puts out, but that sometimes comes with criticism that she wants to keep her child away from. “You have to have a thick skin — which is a given,” she admits. Hopefully one day we’ll get to see North’s tutorials!
