Prince Harry’s Africa Trip Has Been ‘Extremely Emotional’ and It’s Because of Princess Diana

It’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks for Prince Harry, who just concluded his royal tour in Africa with Duchess Meghan (née Markle) and their son, Archie. The duke, 35, visited several places as a way to help others, while also honoring his late mother, Princess Diana. Evidently, this caused Harry to be in his feelings.

“It’s been an extremely emotional journey for Harry,” a source told Us Weekly. “Having the opportunity to continue his mom’s work there is extremely meaningful. It’s his way of paying tribute to [Princess] Diana.” During their visit, Harry and Meghan, 38, focused on issues having to do with “community, grassroots leadership, women’s and girls’ rights, mental health, HIV/AIDS and the environment,” according to their Instagram.

In addition to having his mom on his mind, the trip, which kicked off on September 23, also “brought Harry and Meghan even closer,” a second source told the outlet. “They’re calling it a life-changing experience. Meghan and Harry’s trip to Africa was better than they could’ve ever imagined.”

We’re sure this royal tour was extra special, especially because it was the first one they got to bring their 4-month-old son to. This led fans to see plenty of Archie, who seems to share his mama’s cool demeanor and his dad’s fun personality. Naturally, Meg is all for it.

“She feels blessed to have such a happy, calm baby,” an insider exclusively told Life & Style in June. “Motherhood is the best thing that’s ever happened to Meghan. That, and marrying Harry.”

Archie is growing up right in front of our eyes. Not only does he enjoy when his dad plays peek-a-boo with him, but he’s already reached a major milestone. “At nearly five months, he’s already sitting up without any support for a few seconds, holding his toy bricks and Harry’s convinced that he can recognize himself in the mirror,” a second source exclusively revealed to Life & Style.

Despite being so young, Meghan believes her baby is an “old soul” because of how well he behaved while all the cameras were on him during the royal tour. “I think he is used to it already,” Harry added. Baby Archie is a natural!
