Prince William and Duchess Kate Do ‘Normal Things’ During School Holidays: They’re ‘Down to Earth’
Just because Prince William and Duchess Kate (née Middleton) are royals, it doesn’t mean they don’t participate in common activities like everyone else. The royal couple, who share three children— Prince George, 6, Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, 18 months — are all about family time, which surprisingly doesn’t consist of anything out of the ordinary.
“They love going up to Anmer Hall where they’ll do normal things, like watch movies together, grill on the BBQ, play board games and have family football matches,” a source told Us Weekly. “Despite their background, William and Kate are incredibly down to earth.”
Like most parents, Kate takes advantage of when George and Charlotte are away at school to get work done around the house and focus on herself. “Kate has more ‘me time’ and will work out, do the grocery shopping and catch up on any backlog of work,” the insider told the outlet. “[She] treats herself to pampering sessions – whether it be a mani-pedi or new highlights.” Parenting is hard, so we don’t blame her!
It turns out, the duchess is going all out with her appearance and not only to feel good. “She’s going more glam as she prepares to become queen,” a source exclusively revealed to Life & Style. “Kate began training for her future role last year, which not only involves shadowing Queen Elizabeth II but working with royal aides, who are advising her on how to act and look the part, too.”
According to the insider, “Everyone has been commenting on how great she looks,” which we’re sure makes her feel good as well! That being said, it seems like the makeover is worth every penny. And how much has Kate spent on her new wardrobe? Just a couple hundred thousand dollars — no big deal. “With a closet full of new clothes, she must have spent over $200,000 on her queen makeover,” the source continued.
In addition to new outfits, Kate is also rockin’ a new ‘do. She’s “loving her new lighter color,” the insider divulged. “Kate’s never needed extensions because she’s lucky enough to have thick, glossy, to-die-for locks — but she also enjoys experimenting.” She looks great!
