Meet Psalm West! Kim Kardashian Just Revealed Baby No. 4’s Name to Fans
Too much cuteness! Kim Kardashian and Kanye West announced the name of their fourth child and it’s so special — Psalm West! The famous couple welcomed their new son via surrogate on Thursday, May 9, and they seem over-the-moon excited for their new bundle of joy. His new moniker might surprise a lot of people but we wouldn’t expect anything less from the Keeping Up With the Kardashians stars.
Going back to their one-syllable tradition, the family picked “Psalm” for their fourth little one. The reality star shared the news on Twitter with the first photo of the little one. “Psalm West,” she wrote simply, posting a text that Kanye had sent her. In the message, he included a picture of baby Psalm and the words, “Beautiful Mother’s Day with the arrival of our fourth child. We are blessed beyond measure. We have everything we need.

Kim, 38, and Kanye, 41, share three other children — North, 5, Saint, 3, and Chicago, 15 months. She admitted to Jimmy Kimmel in April that she was having a hard time finding a boy’s name that she really loved. “I actually do not,” she confessed after being asked if she had any top contenders in the running. She explained, “I was Googling Armenian boys names last night and I couldn’t really find anything.” The KKW Beauty founder is always embracing her Armenian heritage so it’s not surprising she was thinking of heading in that direction for the name.
The brunette beauty did dish on one moniker that kept popping into her head. “Actually, I do have one name,” the Selfish author ended up admitting. “I was truthfully thinking of just naming him ‘Rob,.’ [Like] my brother, Rob.” Rob Kardashian is also the fourth child to Kris Jenner so that would be a fun new tradition. Of course, her late father, who passed away in 2003 from esophageal cancer, was also named Robert.
However, the reality starlet was concerned that the name didn’t have enough razzle-dazzle compared to her other kids. “But then, it’s kind of like North, Saint, Chicago, Rob … it doesn’t really go,” she confessed. “But, I really was feeling that, or like Robert, and my brother approved it. So that’s like our one kind of name.”
Their new baby is so adorable and we’re sure he’ll live up to his new name. Congrats to the Kardashian-West family!
