She takes public transportation just like us! Queen Elizabeth was all bundled up upon her arrival to Norfolk, England, on Dec. 20, after traveling by train from London’s King’s Cross Station. With her sizable overcoat worn over a dress, a Burberry headscarf, and a pair of black gloves, the Queen looked quite cozy during her travels. She even rocked her signature Launer handbag.

The 92-year-old rode in the first-class car and was escorted by a large entourage off the train. Passengers claimed she chatted with them briefly as she made her exit to a waiting Range Rover!

“It just makes her more acceptable to the people doing things like that,” one said about her taking public transportation, according to The Sun. “I think it’s great that she does,” another chimed in.

Happy Holidays

To kick off her Christmas break, the monarch leaves Buckingham Palace in December to spend most of the winter at her country home with her husband, Prince Philip, and their family. Several of the royals will be gathering for the festivities in 2018, including Prince Harry and pregnant Meghan Markle.

Unfortunately, Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland won’t be attending this time. As expected, the royals will be keeping tradition alive. “On Christmas Eve, the family lays out their presents on trestle tables and will exchange their gifts at teatime,” according to the official website. So fancy!
