Just because Teresa Giudice is open about getting plastic surgery, that doesn’t mean she’s going to allow her kids to do the same without setting some ground rules. It turns out, the 47-year-old, who has four daughters with husband Joe Giudice, is OK with her kids having work done with one exception: they must be at least 21 or older.

During the New Jersey Ultimate Women’s Expo, Teresa was asked how she feels about teenagers getting plastic surgery. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star is solely against it because she think it’s best to wait to make such a big decision. “I’m all about plastic surgery but not [for] teenagers,” she told Life & Style and other reporters during the November 3 event. Teresa then admitted that she wouldn’t allow her oldest daughter, Gia Giudice, 18, to alter her appearance if she wanted to right now.

“No, I wouldn’t let Gia do anything for a while,” she confessed. “I mean I guess you know, after your 20s, if you want to do something like after 21 … You got to make sure your body’s fully grown. Or I know like young girls get their noses done and I think, you know, if you got a big nose, you might as well fix it. Why not?!”

The reality star also revealed what her plastic surgery journey has been like, adding that she waited until after she became a mom because she didn’t feel good in her own skin. “I think, I mean the only thing I’ve gotten done are my boobs, and the only reason why I did that, and I did that after having three babies, was because I didn’t like the way they looked. I only did it for myself because um, yeah, I just didn’t like the way you looked,” she revealed.

Even when her husband reassured her that she looked fine, Teresa decided to go through with it to make herself happy. “I mean, Joe was like, ‘You’re fine, you don’t have to do anything.’ But I did it for me and then after I did it, I was like more confident about my body,” she continued. “I do believe in if you are not happy with yourself and you want to do plastic surgery, I think you should because after you do, it does make you feel better.” Sounds to us like Teresa isn’t a regular mom, she’s a cool mom!
