Report‘RHONY’ Stars Bethenny Frankel And Jill Zarin Bond This Season Over Their Tragic Losses
Things haven’t been easy for Real Housewives of New York star Bethenny Frankel this past year. The sudden death of her on-again, off-again boyfriend Dennis Shields was “excruciating” for her, but she has since made it to the other side of the grieving process. However, that doesn’t mean she won’t have to see her emotions play out on screen. According to Radar Online, not only will Bethenny’s emotional summer be shared on the upcoming season of Housewives, but she will also have some extremely personal moments surrounding Dennis’ death with ex-friend and ex-RHONY star Jill Zarin.
In the scene, Jill reportedly supports Bethenny during the rough time, just as the Skinnygirl mogul did for her friend when her husband, Bobby Zarin, died of cancer last year.
Back when Jill was still a RHONY regular, Bethenny washed her hands of their friendship, and surprisingly stayed very true to her decision. But despite all that old drama, she was invited to Bobby’s NYC memorial service in January and went to support her co-star. So we really love that Jill returned the gesture — it just proves that soft spots for some friendships will never fully go away.
“It was something that was unavoidable to get on camera,” an insider told Radar Online. “Jill asked her about Dennis and the cameras definitely catch Bethenny’s reaction to what went on surrounding his death and there were tears.”
Back in August, Dennis, who had previously appeared on RHONY, was found dead of an apparent overdose in his apartment, though an autopsy was not performed due to religious reasons. Post-grieving stint, Bethenny recently went public with her now-boyfriend, film producer Paul Bernon, who has even met Bethenny’s 8-year-old daughter, Bryn.
Though Jill and Bethenny have long since moved on from their once storied friendship, we have a feeling it’s going to be really nice to see them back on camera together. Could this be the beginning of a beautiful friendship… part two? Let’s hope.
