Popstar Rihanna knows we’re all out here absolutely DYING for her ninth studio album to finally hit shelves everywhere — in fact, it’s been almost four years since her last full-length release. But on December 22, she explicitly teased the mythological release, nicknamed R9, on her Instagram feed with a hilarious meme.

“Update: me listening to R9 by myself and refusing to release it,” the 31-year-old captioned a popular meme video of a dog dancing to the classic 1989 hit “Jump Around” by House of Pain. Needless to say, the fandom went into complete hysterics by the fact that the songstress even acknowledged her next album.

“It hurts at this point,” one fan wrote, while another hilariously added, “AT THIS POINT … turn on your location sis — I just wanna talk.” LOL! “This is progress on album talk,” another follower reasoned. “I’m OK with that.” Another user went in with the shade. “I forgot you even sing TBH,” they wrote, adding a sleeping emoji.

And you better believe several of Rih’s celeb friends were also present in the comments section to give their two cents about a possible release. “Bruhhh,” model Winnie Harlow wrote, adding a crying emoji. Meanwhile, famed Moschino designer Jeremy Scott wrote, “YOU TEASE,” adding the smirking emoji. Even Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney-Schwartz commented on the post. “Never gets old,” she wrote.
