It’s not uncommon to try a bunch of products to find your ~diamond in the rough~ when it comes to hair care. Needless to say, it takes a while to discover what works best for you and gives you the texture and look you desire. Luckily for us, Vanderpump Rules star Katie Maloney-Schwartz gave Life & Style an exclusive tip on the best way to get “shiny, healthy” locks.

“Apple Cider Vinegar … for my hair,” the 32-year-old revealed. “Every other week, I use it in place of my shampoo. I douse my scalp and then work through to ends. Then, rinse and follow with conditioner. That is my trick for shiny healthy hair. It’s not a new thing but not enough people know about it. Plus, it’s so inexpensive.”

Who doesn’t love some solid (and cheap) advice? It makes sense the brunette beauty would have stellar beauty tips — if you’re a fan of the Bravo TV series, you might remember Katie’s big project from season 4. Her blog, Pucker & Pout, was a lifestyle and beauty website chock full of tricks and exciting brands the starlet wanted to highlight.

Though it seems as though she’s not washing a man out of her hair at the moment (things with husband Tom Schwartz are as good as ever), it looks as though she’s been taking her own ~advice~ when it comes to former pal and costar Kristen Doute. Both she and BFF Stassi Schroeder had a falling out with their longtime friend over the summer.

Back at BravoCon in November, Katie and Stass, 31, spoke with Life & Style exclusively about the feud — and it seems as though the girls are waiting on the 36-year-old to do the right thing. “Well, you’re going to see a lot of it play out on the show, so I’m not going to explain too much. But you’ve seen us ebb and flow with Kristen a lot and we know sometimes how Kristen can be difficult,” Katie revealed. “It just reached the wall, it reached the ceiling.”

That being said, she does hope there is a reconciliation in their future. “I hope so, but when we … We had a separation, a falling out, years ago and we came back and we said that we were going to be 100 percent honest, transparent with each other all the time and always have each other’s best interests,” she continued. “So no matter what, we never have to go through that again. And we held up our end of that deal.”

Guess we’ll have to wait and see what happens when Vanderpump Rules returns to Bravo on January 7.
