So tragic. YouTuber Roman Atwood revealed that his mom, Susan Anne Christman, suddenly passed away after falling off a scooter while on a family vacation. The devastated vlogger shared the tragic story with his millions of followers on Thursday, May 30. He revealed that he is “numb and in complete disbelief” over the horrific situation.

“This hurts so much,” the 36-year-old simply captioned a lengthy typed message on Twitter. The story began, “As most of you know, my family and I are on vacation together. Yesterday, my mom was riding around with my nephew on some little scooters. She fell off hers and hit her head.” Roman explained that after the accident, something was instantly wrong. “She immediately lost all vitals. No heart rate and her breathing stopped.”

The family then rushed his mother to the hospital where they “spent the next eight hours,” but sadly it was too late and she died “shortly after.” Roman wanted to share with fans what happened because he will be taking a leave of absence from his public platform. “I will be by my family’s side, especially my father’s. We are rushing back home to Ohio to figure everything out. Please pray for my family and especially for my father [Curtis Dale Atwood II].”

The influencer is still working through the “shock” of the situation himself. “My heart is so heavy. We are all broken over here. Mom was everything to us,” the post concluded.

Roman and his family were on vacation to celebrate his 36th birthday on Tuesday, May 28. “Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes. I got more than I could have ever dreamed of. So beyond thankful,” he tweeted at the time with a photo of his wife, Brittney, and their three children — Noah, Cane and Kora.
