He’s setting the record straight! Following last night’s deeply emotional episode of Jersey Shore Family Vacation, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro took to Instagram to address his relationship status with his baby mama, Jen Harley. For those who have yet to tune in, Ronnie and Jen had a heated argument over their daughter, Ariana Sky, that nearly turned into a physical altercation after Jen spit in Ron’s face. The 32-year-old even sought out legal counsel during the episode in the hopes of filing for joint custody of his baby girl. However, Ron now claims things have changed for the better.

“For the record, I love my daughter and the mother of my child. The way I felt during that moment isn’t [how] I feel three months later,” the reality star began. “Unfortunately, this season caught a rough patch in both our lives [but] we stuck together and got through it. Ariana grows up in a happy home, regardless of what is shown and edited for TV. It is a combination of bad timing, a lot of moving parts, [and] misinformed information. She has two amazing parents who love her,” Ronnie concluded.

While this is the first time since JSFV Season 2 aired that Ron has addressed his relationship with Jen directly, it’s not the first time we’ve seen the pair looking happy together. On Aug. 12, Ronnie proudly shared a sweet family photo from their trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico.

In the photo, he has his arm wrapped around Jen’s tiny waist and is holding Ariana with the other. They all look so happy standing in the beautiful blue water and Ronnie seems happy. He used several heart-eyes emojis and called it his “#PRFamilyVacation.”

E! News first reported that Jen and Ronnie had reunited on Aug. 10. “They’ve been quiet about it, but it’s been about a month now,” a source told the media outlet. “They want peace and they want things to work out for the baby’s sake. There was so much up and down with them, so much drama, and the cameras caught a lot of it,” the insider revealed.

We respect that the on-again, off-again couple is taking the time they need — in private — to make their relationship work. Here’s hoping that it actually sticks this time for the sake of their darling child.

You can watch the rest of Ron and Jen’s relationship drama unfold on Jersey Shore Family Vacation Thursday nights on MTV at 9 p.m. EST.
