Ryan Bingham and Hassie Harrison ‘Kept Out’ of ‘Yellowstone’ Feud: ‘No Office Politics for Them’

Hassie Harrison and Ryan Bingham were Yellowstone costars and onscreen lovers and now they’re real-life married lovebirds, but that’s never been a problem for anybody because they’re the most well-liked and down-to-earth people you’ll ever meet, a source exclusively tells Life & Style

“They were a joy to work with on Yellowstone because their love was infectious to everyone around them, and they never drew attention to the fact they’re married or caused any trouble by asking for special favors,” the insider says.

Hassie, 34, and Ryan, 43, played onscreen lovers Walker and Laramie in the neo-Western, which recently ended its run after a tumultuous final season rife with drama between series lead Kevin Costner and show creator Taylor Sheridan. The two revealed their real-life romance in 2023 before tying the knot in May 2024.

According to Hassie, “Newlywed life has been an absolute dream.”

“Ryan and I have had a whirlwind year work-wise, but supporting each other has made it all the more special. It’s been a crazy ride, but I couldn’t imagine navigating it with anyone else.” she added.

The new couple also spent their first holiday season together this past year. While Los Angeles-based, they went to Hassie’s home state of Texas to celebrate with her family.

“I’m all about tradition,” Hassie told People of their Christmas plans in November 2024. “I grew up in a very sentimental family where the holidays were filled with special moments, and I love carrying that on. This year, we’re taking our crew to Texas, and then we’ll see where the New Year takes us,” she added.

“Now that the show’s over, they have plenty of options,” the insider continues. “They’re favorites within the entertainment world and have that refreshing positivity about them.”

Before the announcement that Yellowstone would not be returning for a sixth season, there was intense speculation whether or not Kevin’s sudden departure from the show and feud with the showrunners would bring a halt to the production.

Hell bent on filming his own passion project, Horizon: An American Saga, the Waterworld star announced the production schedules between the four-part movie series and the Amazon Prime show were in conflict, leaving him out of the second half of the fifth season and the writers in a bit of a sticky situation. They ultimately had to kill off Kevin’s character, patriarch John Dutton, but the move and the disagreement behind it didn’t sit right with everyone.

Even the lawyers got involved as rumors of who’s to blame for the conflict began flying, but a second source previously told Life & Style Kevin has decided to move on. “Kevin is being intentional about getting a fresh start in 2025 and he’s not going to keep warring with the Yellowstone franchise now that he’s officially exited the show,” the insider said. “He’s putting all that behind him and focused on rescuing his in-progress Horizon: An American Saga film series and clawing back more of the massive investment he and his partners have put into it.”

But newlyweds Ryan and Hassie refused to get in the middle of the feud. “They don’t get involved in bitching about Kevin, no office politics for them,” the first source adds. “They keep out of it, which makes them a rare duo to work with in the business.”
