The Lord has spoken! During a sneak peek for this Sunday’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Scott Disick sat down with his pseudo-sister-in-law Kim Kardashian to discuss the ongoing drama between Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson following the NBA baller’s highly publicized cheating scandal

To better help Kiki understand the situation, Scott reflected on how the Kardashians once negatively affected his relationship with Kourtney. Believe it or not, he wasn’t throwing shade at all — he was being helpful AF.

“I feel like Khloé is living a full double life. She’s in town and I just haven’t seen her,” Kim sighed to Scott. “I feel like Tristan is here and she’s so nervous for him and I to see each other. I feel like I get into this protection mode where I just like, go into worst case scenario.”

“I think sometimes when people get too caught up when it’s a negative protection and not always being there for the positive, then everybody feels kind of like, attacked,” Scott explained to the mother-of-three. By this point, it was clear that the conversation was steering toward his nine-year romance with Kourt. Kim asked, point blank: “Is it annoying when family members gang up on you?”

“Listen, no matter what you say to somebody when there’s something happening in their life, it’s not actually going to be taken in,” Scott explained. “I know back in the day when your mom or Khloé would get involved in me and Kourtney’s stuff, it only would draw us farther away from the family.”

Y’all, can you believe the straight-up wisdom Scott is capable of spitting? To be fair, there were many great factors that caused the Kardashians to involve themselves in Scott and Kourt’s relationship including the pair’s three kids — Mason, 8, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 3 — but ultimately, he’s right! Sometimes being too protective has a way of backfiring. After all, Koko and Tristan are still together, right? *Insert eye roll emoji here.*
