Selena Gomez Reveals What She’s Looking for in a Man: ‘I Don’t Like Show-Offy’
When it comes to men, Selena Gomez has a type. The 27-year-old revealed what qualities she looks for when she’s looking to date.
“I love funny. I don’t like arrogant,” the singer revealed on U.K.’s Capital FM on Monday, December 16. “I don’t like, you know, show-offy. I love playful, adventurous, but really down-to-earth and cool.” Not bad at all!
Dating when you’re famous can be tough, but it turns out the “Come and Get It” crooner isn’t that different from the rest of us. To take the pressure from mingling with new people, she likes to bond with her potential beau in a group setting. “I find that’s what makes me comfortable,” she admitted.
But of course, being a celeb does make things a bit difficult. That’s why Selena prefers to be “approached in a natural, organic way.” She continued, “I hope that whoever’s doing that is actually interested in me and not really my name. So, it’s pretty hard, but that’s usually the best way.”
Luckily, the brunette beauty has good instincts and can read people well, which she uses to her advantage. “I feel like in the first five seconds I can tell if I’m meeting someone that just wants one thing, and then I can tell when it’s a good group of guys and they’re cool,” she added.
Could 2020 be the year Selena finds love again? It’s possible. One thing’s for sure, though. At least when it comes to her career, the new year is going to be amazing for the pop star, who is set to release an album, which will be her first studio LP in over four years.
“Can’t believe I’m revealing the art and title for my new album RARE, out January 10th,” she tweeted on December 12. “It’s the most honest music I’ve ever made and I can’t wait for you to hear my heart … You can preorder RARE now.”
Solely based on the singles “Lose You to Love Me” and “Look at Her Now,” we can tell Rare is going to showcase a new side of Selena. The girl is thriving!
