Shaboozey Teases Song With ‘New Orleans Legend’ Ahead of Nerds Super Bowl Ad Premiere

Shaboozey has chart-topping hits that are dominating the soundwaves, but he’s just warming up. The “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” artist exclusively tells Life & Style that new music with a “New Orleans legend” is on the way.

“As an artist, you have to keep creating. It’s like what drives you. It’s what keeps you going,” Shaboozey, 29, shares with Life & Style. “So, there’s definitely some new music coming for sure.”

Shaboozey stars in the Nerds Gummy Clusters Big Game teaser, giving fans a taste of his upcoming Super Bowl commercial with the brand.

The “Good News” singer nudges fans to “stay tuned during the Super Bowl just to hear what we got coming.” Although Shaboozey has to remain tight-lipped about the new tune, he says a preeminent artist is “involved” with the project.

Shaboozey was featured in the second annual Super Bowl advertisement with Nerds Gummy Clusters. In the teaser, the Grammy-nominated artist strung his guitar while sitting backstage on a set before enjoying a piece of the colorful candy. Once the magic entered his system, his surroundings turned into a real-life Candyland and the Nerds mascots later appeared beside him. The once-lonely ambiance switched gears when Shaboozey’s guitar featured Nerds decor and he jammed out alongside his fictional friends.

The full commercial will air during game time on Super Bowl Sunday, February 9, while the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles take the field.

The Virginia native kicked off 2025 big with his collaboration with the Super Bowl, but he is no stranger to dominating the football field. Shaboozey received the best Christmas gift in December when he performed with Beyoncé during her halftime performance at the Baltimore Ravens vs. Houston Texans game.

“Merry Christmas Houston! I hope y’all enjoyed The Beyonce Bowl,” Shaboozey captioned a clip of the show via Instagram on December 25, 2024.

Six days later, Shaboozey shared a slow-mo video of himself, Beyoncé and Post Malone posing behind a backdrop before their iconic collaboration.

“Can you believe both of these things happened in the same year?!?!?” Shaboozey captioned the post. “Cheers to the greatest year of my life. 2025 will be even better!”

Before hitting the stage with the “TEXAS HOLD ‘EM” artist, Shaboozey performed on the field solo during the Thanksgiving 2024 halftime show at Ford Stadium as the Detroit Lions took on the Dallas Cowboys.

During his performance, Shaboozey performed his smash hits “Last of My Kind,” “Highway” and “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which are all featured on his album Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going (2024). The entertainer was accompanied by his touring band and also brought on local artists from Detroit, where the game was held at the Ford Field Stadium.

“Our goal is to be able to bring artists and music that we feel are going to resonate with a broad audience, with families, and also try to be as culturally relevant as possible – I don’t know if that applies to any artist more right now than Shaboozey,” NFL’s head of music, Seth Dudowsky, told Billboard in November 2024.

Dudowsky continued, “With the NFL of course we want to work with the biggest artists and … artists who are on the rise. So, really, this was just the perfect timing and the perfect artist.”
