She likes their secrets. Sofia Richie and her older boyfriend, Scott Disick, have mesmerized us since they were first spotted together in Cannes in May 2017 and their private nature as a couple has a lot to do with it. Turns out the 20-year-old model likes it that way, which is why we don’t see as much of them together on social media as we’d like to.

“I think a lot of people think they have to prove their relationships through social media and I’m just happy being private about my relationship,” Sofia said in an interview with Tatler published on February 22. “It’s not like I won’t post pictures about it, but I like having my little private life.”

Sof’s more into the simpler things in life, like hosting game nights with Scott, 35, for her friends. “I‘m not a party girl and I really don’t like the paparazzi,” she explained. A quiet (or not-so-quiet) night in is more her speed.

The couple enjoys a good delivery pizza and either a game of Taboo or something called Spoons, a Scott/Sofia invention all their own. “Clearly we have a lot of time on our hands,” Sof said.

Date night for this duo means something quiet and relaxed, which makes sense considering they both seem pretty easy-going together. “Whatever we do, whether it’s going to the cinema or dinner, we’ll always just end up going home and watching a movie after,” the model revealed.

It makes sense that Sofia would want to keep her relationship at an arm’s legth away from social media — she feels the same way about reality TV, which has a similar effect of leaving you open to everyone and vulnerable to scrutiny. When asked if she would appear on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, since her BF is a regular fixture on the show, she wasn’t too into it.

“Not that I’m against it, [but] I’m just very private,” she admitted to Us Weekly on February 14. And Scott’s cool with how she feels about it, too. “Everyone has their own choices and nobody should have to do anything they don’t want to do … It’s her choice,” he said.
